CALL OUT TO COMMUNITY AND CHARITY EVENTS
I am a 17 year practiced and licensed massage therapist who is relatively new to Charlotte, who very much wants to contribute to community events! I am local to the University area of Charlotte, Harrisburg and Concord.
Since heart disease and cancer are big deal health crisis, they are the two associations I really like to be involved with. As far as heart disease goes also, it really fits the massage therapy venue because people with related conditions have to work on reducing their stress levels, probably start new exercise programs, as well as eat healthy and sleep well. Therapeutic massage is a fabulous complementary and alternative medicine which can support both short term and long term changes, as well as add great benefits to a wellness routine, and thus, this is true for cancer and health also.
I am seeking marketing avenues in which I can add my name and address, to become aware of upcoming events where I can offer chair massage, such as heart or cancer walks and runs or health fairs. I am also very interested in the Go Red days, where perhaps for about 2 hours, I can take my massage chair to that business and offer the employees who are wearing red that day a ten minute free chair massage. Another idea is to do chair massage at a business who is hosting a blood donation drive or any sort of community/charity event.
I would really like to get my offerings out there!
Thank you for any suggestions or participation,

Custom Massage Therapy
Custom Massage Therapy means we explore what works for a particular client for each session. How tissue responds to manual therapies depends on numerous factors. The amount of pressure applied or technique utilized is determined by tissue response as well as your preferences.
When you come in for an appointment, please feel free to ask for what you need that day and direct your session. One of the questions I will likely ask is what would you like to work on today, or how are you feeling?
Some conditions that clients have reported beneficial results from massage or myofascial therapy include: headache/migraine, shoulder, neck, hip, knee, and back pain, scar tissue and adhesions, cancer, immune deficiencies, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, Parkison’s disease, TMJ, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases, reflux and GERD, Crohn’s disease, depression and anxiety, muscle spasm and tension, sciatica, sports injuries, tendinitis, sleep disturbances. Stress!!
Some examples are:
I have received lots of massage therapy previously. I love and get the most benefit from a deep tissue back massage and trigger point work on my trapezius muscle.
- This is my first massage. I would like my knots worked on but I don’t want to be sore. I sit at a computer all day long and my neck hurts.
My doctor tells me I have elbow tendinitis. My shoulder also hurts and I experience some numbness and tingling in my hands. Can we work on that.
I have been gardening and working on my lawn the whole month. I have been experiencing periodic low back pain. Please do what ever you can for that.
I have a smashing headache, I feel it between my shoulder blades, up my neck and right over my eyes.
It has been a stressful and busy few weeks, I just want to relax and be quiet. Could you spend some time on my feet also.
I am going through chemotherapy. My doctor says it is ok to receive massage therapy. I'd like to relax and reconnect with my body and spirit.
I played soccer all weekend and my legs are stiff and sore. Lets concentrate on them. How about some myofascial therapy and stretching.
